For my fundraiser I hosted a fun community livestream on Twitch. In preparation for it I created some fun photos of me wearing the WWF t-shirt that I was sent and created a frame of leaves around it with my own digital artwork. My viewers enjoy my art so I wanted to involve this in a few ways. I also drew butterflies which I hung around my room and could be seen on stream. Each time that I got a donation I would write the donator's name on a butterfly. I also had an art segment during the stream where donations over a certain amount could choose an animal for me to draw on one big page of animals, donations over a higher amount would then be entered into a competition to win a print of the finished art. We also played Mario Kart together for a few hours as a new wave of tracks had been added just the day before.
It went really well both in regards to it being a smooth and enjoyable experience and of how much we raised. This was my first ever charity stream on Twitch, and my channel is relatively small, so I was a bit anxious about whether we would have a good turn out or raise much. That being said, I had a lot of viewers, old and new, turn up. Whether they lurked, joined in with games or donated, it all helped and I am really grateful to each and every one of them.

What can I stream?
You can stream anything you like video games, board games, art, make up, cooking or just chatting it’s up to you! Just remember that you’re streaming for a charity, so stick to Twitch’s Terms of Service and remind people why you’re streaming and why the cause matters to you.
When can I stream?
Anytime! You can fundraise and sign up whenever you want. We run around two special WWF streaming campaigns a year, but we are always ready to support charity livestreams throughout the year!
What should my fundraising target be?
Set a fundraising goal that feels achievable but meaningful to you, you can always increase it if you smash your target! On average, streamers usually raise around £200 per 1,000 Twitch followers. Some streamers who show their passion for the cause and have fun milestones and incentives can raise even more than that!
Where does the money go?
Although you are raising funds for WWF UK, the funds that are raised are unrestricted which means that they can be used across any of our global conservation programmes when and where they are needed the most.
