One in six Welsh species at risk of extinction
One in six Welsh species at risk of extinction
We need healthy soils and ecosystems, like forests and rivers, to survive. To give us clean water, clean air, healthy food and homes for species like bees which pollinate crops.
However, nature is in decline with one in six assessed species at risk of extinction in Wales. The Sustainable Farming Scheme gives us a chance to change that – but only if the support it offers is sufficient and immediate.
We're sending an urgent message to Huw Irranca-Davies MS, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs demanding that your money is used in a way that restores nature, tackles climate change, and ensures a sustainable future for communities, farmers and food production in Wales.
