Jumps through the waves at Priory Bay on the Isle of Wight – a WWF seagrass restoration site

Geri said: "Nature has such a restorative power and getting outside for just 20 minutes can make the world of difference to how you feel, both physically and mentally. For me, a dip in the sea is the ultimate reset, especially if it's cold! It makes me feel alive and strong - and at the same time calm and at peace. Taking a walk next to the water or in nature has that same incredible positive effect on my wellbeing. I’m excited to be working with WWF on this campaign, I encourage everyone to find their own daily dose of nature.”

Andy Murray - former world number one tennis player

Out for a walk through a woodland in Surrey.

Andy said: “I was lucky growing up in Scotland, where we were surrounded by nature. I know from my travels around the world, that not everybody has that easy access to the countryside. For me, being out in nature really clears my head. I have had times in my career when I’ve felt under pressure and there’s nothing like a dog walk to make you feel better and put things into perspective.”

Ellie said: “I've always felt so closely connected to nature. It is such a powerful healer, it sustains me and I need access to green and wild spaces, we all do. My portrait is taken in Gloucestershire with my dog Mara. The countryside here is my haven - it allows me to escape and reset. Getting a daily dose of nature in your life can help bring peace, clarity, and a sense of connection that is vital for our wellbeing. We can't flourish without it. Let's protect it and fight for it.”

Kedar Williams-Stirling out in nature

Kedar Williams-Stirling - actor, artist

Spends time in Phoenix Gardens, a peaceful green community garden in the centre of London.

Kedar said: “The pace and overstimulation in our lives, both personally and globally, is undoubtedly intense, so for me spending time in nature really helps protect my wellbeing. Phoenix Gardens is a special place that feels like an oasis of calm amongst the chaos. Despite being in central London, here nature feels close and intimate. You can smell the flowers, enjoy the variety of plants and wildlife, and just find a hidden pocket to cool off. Just 20 minutes in this hidden sanctuary and I feel more balanced. I hope that WWF’s A Prescription for Nature will help everyone find their own way to take a breath, wherever they are.”

Cel Spellman - actor and presenter

Spends time in Phoenix Gardens, a peaceful green community garden in the centre of London.

Cel said: “Spending time in nature has always been, in my opinion, the best medicine. It’s always my first point of call, whatever the issue, physical or mental. I really value and appreciate the magical, medicinal benefits and healing qualities the natural world has to offer. It’s free and it’s there for all of us to lean on, as it always is. The healing power of nature and what it can do for us cannot be underestimated, the proof is there and the science backs it up, which is why I’m delighted spending time in nature is now finally being prescribed by the NHS. More so, I’m so excited to support WWF in this vitally important campaign in raising awareness about nature's benefits to our wellbeing and showing everyone we can lean on the natural world and reap the benefits it has to offer.”
