Have a question about taking part in an event for WWF? This page should help but you can always contact challenge@wwf.org.uk or phone us on 01483 426333 if you have any additional questions.

Why is there a minimum fundraising target for my charity place?

WWF pay for charity places we have in different challenge events. We ask for a minimum fundraising amount to ensure we cover the cost of your place and raise funds to support our important work. If you secure your own place in an event, there is no minimum fundraising target, we ask you to raise what you can for WWF.

Does Gift Aid count towards my minimum fundraising target

No, the minimum fundraising target excludes any Gift Aid raised. This is because Gift Aid claims often take a long time to process and are not always successful.

How long do I have to reach my minimum fundraising target?

We'll usually ask you to raise a percentage of the target in advance of your event to secure your place. The remainder should be paid to WWF no later than 8 weeks after the event date.

I secured my own place in the event, do I have a minimum fundraising target?

If you have secured your own place on a challenge or have organised your own event, you do not have a minimum fundraising target. Please set your own personal goal and funds you do raise will be greatly appreciated.

I am taking part in an event not listed on your website. Can I still fundraise for WWF?

Yes, you can fundraise for WWF in any event you are taking part in. Simply complete the relevant Own Place fundraising form and we will support you in your fundraising journey.

How do I set up an online fundraising page?

For many of our events, you'll have the opportunity to create an online fundraising page during the registration process. If you need to create a page, you can do this via JustGiving. Creating a fundraising page is easy and offers a safe way for your family and friends to donate to your challenge. All donations made to your page are automatically sent to WWF without your needing to do anything further.

How to I send the money from my fundraising page to WWF?

All money raised on your online giving page will automatically be sent to WWF, there is nothing more you need to do.

How do I send in offline sponsorship money?

Please use our paying in form which can be found on our fundraising page.

When will I receive my event top?

If you ordered one, our event tops are sent out approximately 35 days before your event date.

I haven’t received an event top, what should I do?

If you haven’t received your top within 3 weeks of your event date, please contact challenge@wwf.org.uk. Please confirm your event, required top size and mailing address when you contact us.

I can’t take place in my event anymore; can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on our event places, as per the terms and conditions agreed to upon registration. If you need to withdraw prior to the event, please notify WWF as soon as possible by emailing challenge@wwf.org.uk. This means we can re-allocate your place to someone else on the waiting list.

I’ve been asked to complete a console, what does this mean?

After purchasing a WWF charity place in an event, you may be required to complete an additional registration form for the third-party event organiser so they can confirm your entry into the event. If it is not completed by the deadline set, your event entry may be withdrawn. We will make reasonable efforts to make you aware if this is applicable to your entry and what the deadline for completion is. We are unable to influence the deadline dates set by organisers and are unable to add or amend entries after the deadline.

I haven’t received a start time or race pack for my event, what should I do?

WWF are not responsible for sending out start time information or race day packs. This is the responsibility of the race organiser. If you have queries on this, please contact the relevant race organiser.

Where can I find materials to support my fundraising page?

There are lots of fundraising resources here.

How do I update my information on your records?

If you move house or change your telephone number or address before the challenge, please do let us know by contacting challenge@wwf.org.uk

How can I share photos from my event?

We love to see photos of our supporters on event day. If you post them on social media, please tag us @wwf_uk.
