Show you care about the future of our planet
To celebrate Earth Hour we are asking students to spend an hour learning more about the amazing nature around them, and making a plan for how they will help local wildlife to thrive.
Whether we're in the centre of a city or surrounded by fields and woods, incredible wildlife is all around us that we may not notice or think about most days. This Earth Hour, we want to take time out to tune into the natural world and celebrate the wildlife with which we share our planet. It's the natural world that gives us everything we need - food, fresh water, medicine and a breathable atmosphere - and we thrive when nature can thrive.
UK nature is under pressure, with more than one in seven of our native species facing extinction. But we can help! By learning about our local wildlife and making our schoolgrounds and local communities better for nature, we can help protect and restore the UK's biodiversity.
