Tropical rainforests cover just 6% of the planet’s land surface but are some of the richest, most biodiverse places on Earth. They are home to ancient, towering trees and a huge variety of plants, birds, insects and mammals. A staggering 80% of the world's documented species can be found in tropical rainforests!
Join WWF on Thursday 20 June at 10am to find out all about the importance of rainforests, including their remarkable wildlife. Explore some of the challenges rainforests face including deforestation and climate change and discover what we can all do to help our rainforests. Plus have your rainforest questions answered by WWF expert Gonzalo Taylor from our Latin America team.
