WWF-UK THE BIG WINTER WANDER
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By completing the registration form for The Big Winter Wander event you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Entrants take part in The Big Winter Wander entirely at their own risk and are 100% responsible for selecting a safe route to walk. WWF-UK accepts no responsibility for any accidents or injuries sustained whilst taking part in The Big Winter Wander.
2. Following your registration we will contact you using the details you provide us to send you information about your Event, suggested ways to improve your fundraising and hints and tips to support you.
3. You understand WWF and authorised representatives will contact you by email, phone, SMS and post in relation to your event place, to allow successful participation in the event.
4. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in their Event(s). It is participants responsibility to check any medical conditions with a doctor prior to taking part.
5. You agree that your event adheres to all applicable laws and regulations, including relevant health and safety standards and to obtain all necessary licenses or permissions needed for your event (if necessary). Please be sure to follow the latest government advice on coronavirus when planning your walk.
6. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are wearing appropriate attire when taking part in an Event, taking into account the nature of the Event, the weather forecast and the terrain involved.
7. Children are welcome to take part in the event but should be accompanied and closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
8. You confirm that you are aged 16 or over.
9. You agree that all funds raised shall be paid to WWF-UK as quickly as possible after your event and in any case by no later than 8 weeks after the event date. All payments to WWF-UK shall be made via debit or credit card, cheque, bank transfer or via a secure online fundraising page.
10. Any fundraised money collected must be forwarded to WWF-UK and this will be treated as a donation unless sponsors specifically ask for it to be returned to them. WWF-UK is unable to return anonymous donations. You agree that should you, for whatever reason, not take part in the event or the event is cancelled, it is your responsibility to contact your sponsors telling them you are no longer participating in the event, and what will happen to their sponsor money.
11. All participants enter and attend an Event entirely at their own risk. We shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss to participants or their property that might occur as a result of their participation or attendance at an Event. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit our liability for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
12. You agree that WWF is not responsible for supervising your event, and that your event and participation in it are at the organisers? and participants? own risk. WWF, its employees and its agents, do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage or for any death or personal injury as result of your event.
13. WWF do not sell or swap your details with any third parties, except service companies authorised to act on our behalf in order to carry out our work.
14. Fundraising
You understand that to qualify for a reward, you must have raised the minimum target amount, as outlined below, by no later than 00:00hrs on 23rd March 2025 and completed our claim form(s). Late entries will not be considered. Rewards will be sent to your address (if the address we have for you is incorrect, you must contact us prior to sending the reward to change it). The fundraising targets and applicable rewards are as set out below and are cumulative (so, by way of example only, if your fundraising total is equal to or exceeds £250 you will be entitled to receive all the applicable rewards as set out below). WWF t-shirts will be posted weekly and WWF medals, cuddly toys and backpacks will be posted from w/c 24th February 2024. Fundraising rewards are allocated as one of each reward per registration. Fundraising rewards are available while stocks last. Fundraising totals do not include Gift Aid:
