Exclusively for WWF supporters, join us for a uniquely challenging one day, 10-peak trek through the beautiful Lake District. This challenge requires a good level of fitness as, during the course of the trek, we'll cover around 25km and tackle 1400m of ascent. With two nights’ accommodation and vegetarian meals included, this is the perfect opportunity to fully connect with UK nature whilst raising funds to help bring our world back to life.
Fri 12 July 2024 - Evening arrival
You'll arrive at the YHA Grasmere Hostel from 7pm to meet the rest of the team and your challenge leaders. There will be a full safety briefing at approximately 8pm. Please note that tonight’s evening meal is not included, although you can purchase it from the hostel, a nearby restaurant or alternatively bring your own food to cook at the accommodation.
Sat 13 July 2024 - Trekking Day
And we’re off! After a very early start and a hearty breakfast, we'll start the trek up to the summit of Snarker Pike and then head north, ticking off peaks as we go. Around halfway, we'll stop for the included packed lunch to help fuel our legs for the remainder of the trek. We'll finish the day on the summit of Heron Pike before descending directly down to the hostel for a celebration dinner.
Our trekking route - 25km and 1,433m of ascent.
