Donate your clothes

Give clothes a second home

Your Challenge

Whether you’re looking to spring clean or shake up your style, it’s time to grab all those clothes you don’t wear anymore and help fund our work by selling them on Thrift+. You don’t need to worry about the hassle of selling clothes yourself, they will do that for you and donate some of the money to us (if you choose us as your charity).

It couldn’t be easier, here’s how you do it:

  • Just order your free Thrift Bag on their website and follow the simple steps.
  • Scan the QR code on your bag.
  • Fill it up with your unwanted clothes.
  • Arrange a collection with Thrift+ from your home or a nearby collection point.
  • And earn Thrift points which you can either redeem, shop with on the Thrift store, or donate to a charity of your choice!

Why you're doing this

The UK produces around 200,000 tonnes of textile waste a year.[1] Unfortunately, even though we may send our clothes for ‘recycling’, often they are exported around the world to developing nations where they sit in open-air landfill, causing environmental and social harm.

How you'll make a difference

Sending your clothes to be resold doesn’t just free up space in your wardrobe: alongside helping to reduce the impact on our environment, you’re also helping more people around the world access affordable clothing. By choosing WWF as the charity to receive donations from the sale of this clothing, it will help fund our work. It’s a win-win all round.

When you send your clothes to Thrift+, they’ll list them for sale online and once sold a donation of as much as 40% could go to WWF for every sale! All the money raised goes directly towards projects to help our world.
