Easy-bake

leaf biscuits

Bake a batch of yummy leaf-shaped biscuits – with only three ingredients!

You will need

  • 100g butter or plant-based block margarine, softened
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 125g plain flour
  • White paper
  • Pen

Step one

Ask an adult to help!
Preheat the oven to 180°C so it’s hot when the biscuits are ready to cook.

Step two

Put your softened butter or margarine in a bowl with the sugar and stir them together until the mixture goes light and fluffy. Sift your flour into the mixture and stir it all together to make a dough.

Step three

On a clean surface, use a rolling pin to roll out your dough until it’s about half a centimetre thick.

Step four

Download, print and cut out the biscuit pattern at the bottom of this page. Then ask an adult to carefully cut round it with a knife on top of your rolled-out dough to make your biscuit shapes.

Step five

Put your biscuit shapes onto a greased baking tray. Pop them in the oven and bake for 13-15 minutes.

Step six

Once they’re baked, slip your biscuits onto a wire rack to cool – and then enjoy!
